Intensive Moscow's Attacks Cut Power In Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under increased attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced interruptions to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the city came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor lost their life and three other people were wounded.

The assaults follow evenings of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the national power system, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
