The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
